From domestic abuse and sexual violence to harassment in public spaces and online abuse, women and girls face daily threats to their safety and dignity. According to the United Nations, nearly 1 in 3 women worldwide has experienced physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. Next week (February 2-8) is Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week and an important time for sharing stories and raising awareness of the scale of the problem, its impact, and how we can create change that lasts.
