Dean Canavan, 35, appeared at Burnley Crown Court on Tuesday (January 27) to be sentenced having pleaded guilty to burglary and assault at a hearing in October. Canavan, of no fixed address, entered an address in Healey Wood Road, Burnley, on September 22 and stole a mobile phone. He must also complete 20 rehabilitation days, 140 hours of unpaid work, and pay £187 in compensation.
