Production line at Mullard's, Blackburn, 1973The company which at one time employed more than 6,000 people around East Lancashire played a key role in the production of first radios and then TV sets.
Mullard’s was the first company to move on to the new Whitebirk Industrial Estate, with the foundation stone being laid in 1938 by the mayor of Blackburn, Ald J Fryars.
