BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, OhioAssault: East Washington StreetPolice responded to a domestic violence call at 6 p.m. Jan. 9. A man was assaulting his girlfriend in the driveway of the home they share along with her ex-husband. The suspect attempted to grab an officer’s gun and threatened him while efforts were made to bring the man under control. The female housemate sustained visible injuries to her face and head, but other injuries were unknown because she refused to cooperate with first responders. The 70-year-old man refused a breath test and was given a ride home from the police station by a friend.
