ROCHESTER, N.Y. — This weekend’s Lakeside Winter Celebration at Ontario Beach Park is set to showcase a snow sculpture themed after the Winter Olympics. Sculptor Eric Jones, working on the sculpture Thursday, said he thrives in snowy conditions. Jones shared that Ontario Beach Park provided heavy equipment to assist with lifting snow. “It worked out great lifting snow for me. In addition to the snow sculpture, the celebration will feature a Polar Plunge on Sunday at 1 p.m. to benefit Special Olympics New York.
