The Brambles Farm on Colmore Avenue in East Middlesbrough will be upgraded as part of wider improvements to play spaces across the area. Known locally as 'spider park,' the Brambles Farm facility will be revamped with new swings, slides, climbing frames and features to encourage imaginative play. "I’ve proposed in my budget for next year to invest £500,000 to upgrade and improve play parks across the town, alongside £200,000 for staff to carry out repairs and maintenance. Additional improvements at the Brambles Farm site will include new fencing, landscaping, with CCTV already installed ahead of the refurbishment. Ward councillor Jack Banks said: "It's wonderful to bring this park back to life for Brambles Farm and the wider community."
