The Shah Alam High Court ordered two Nestle companies to pay Uppal Aimed Guard Security Sdn Bhd damages of RM3,891,744.42, RM30,000 in exemplary damages, and RM50,000 in costs. SHAH ALAM : A security firm was awarded nearly RM4 million in damages after the High Court here ruled that its termination by Nestle Products Sdn Bhd and Nestle Manufacturing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was in breach of contract. Justice Shoba Rajah Dorai Rajah found that the defendants had unlawfully terminated a security services agreement with Uppal Aimed Guard Security Sdn Bhd. The court awarded the security firm RM3,891,744.42 in damages, RM30,000 in exemplary damages, and RM50,000 in costs. The security firm maintained that the guards were legally in Malaysia and in the process of obtaining valid permits.
