The officer-involved shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at a METRORail platform on the 7800 block of Fulton Street in North Houston, according to HPD. The sheriff's office said HPD would be leading the investigation and that the Harris County District Attorney's Office and the Harris County Sheriff's Office Department of Internal Affairs were on scene following the shooting. Representatives from the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) were not immediately available for comment.
