Awards event returns to celebrate youngsters' featsA ceremony celebrating youngsters’ grassroots achievements has attracted top backing. The North East Community Champion Awards have secured support across an eight-strong category list. Launched by Northern Leaders Trust alongside joint main sponsor Association of Education Advisers, the awards celebrate young people across the Newcastle area demonstrating kindness, courage, leadership and commitment to their communities. And organisers say nominations for this year’s event have already exceeded previous ceremonies. Gateshead-based building contractor Brims, law firm Muckle LLP, The Education Network and Hart Family Accountancy are also backing the event.
