New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for the establishment of new medical colleges offering MBBS courses and for increasing undergraduate seat intake in existing medical colleges for the academic year 2026-27. According to the notice, the online application portal for UG courses has been made live and will remain open until 12:00 midnight on February 3, 2026. This extension will be the final opportunity for applicants intending to establish new medical colleges or seek enhancement of MBBS seat capacity for the upcoming academic session. This shall be the final opportunity for filing applications for establishing new Medical Colleges for AY:2026-27. The communication has been addressed to the Directors, Principals, and Deans of all medical colleges and institutions under NMC, as well as applicants seeking permission to establish new medical colleges.
