Showers will occur at times in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Fairly Heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the Uva province and in Batticaloa and Ampara districts. Several spells of shower will occur in the Northern and North-Central provinces and in theHambantota district. Showers or thundershowers are likely at several places in other areas of the island after 2.00p.m. The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
