One man was hospitalized following a pursuit that ended with police shooting a man in the leg in Spring Valley on Thursday evening, according to the Chula Vista Police Department. The pursuit began and took officers into Spring Valley, where the suspect crashed into a black sedan near the intersection of Sweetwater Road and Tyler Street. One of the officers returned fire, and hitting the man in the leg, according to police. More video from the scene showed the red Chevrolet and a black sedan crashed onto sidewalks and shoulders of the road. Two innocent bystanders were transported from the black sedan and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
