Spread the loveKathmandu, Jan 30: The Supreme Court of Nepal has issued an interim order stopping the selection process for the general manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation. A single bench of Justice Binod Sharma directed that the process should not move ahead. The court also issued a show cause notice to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. A selection committee led by the ministry secretary had shortlisted ten candidates through open competition on January 18. The process drew controversy after two serving employees were shortlisted, despite the Nepal Airlines Corporation Act 1972 stating that incumbent employees are not eligible to become managing director.
