Bradford Council-owned 21 Main Street in Esholt was listed in an online property auction by Pugh this week. The property had a £200,000 guide price and was made famous by its long-standing appearance in Emmerdale. But despite the listing hyping up the building’s fame among soap fans, the property has failed to sell. The auction followed the successful sale of the post office business itself late last year to local resident and Emmerdale fan, Helen Myers. “The property is well-known to millions of viewers of Emmerdale for its long-running appearance as the village post-office, offering tourism appeal as a result.”The failure to sell at auction means the property is still on the market.
