Dudley Council has told the owner of Corbett Lodge and Gatehouse in Amblecote, which used to serve as the entrance to Corbett Hospital, that they must to make repairs to the building.
Cat Eccles MP said: "The Corbett Lodge and Gatehouse in Amblecote, Stourbridge is in a sorry state.
"I have written to Dudley Council to ask what action is being taken to get the owner of the property to do something positive with the building.
“There is a live enforcement case dealing with the building which is clearly in a deteriorating condition and a matter of considerable concern.
“The owner has made a start to progress these works and we will be checking that these meet the required standard.
