The Danish royal family announced today that King Frederik is set to visit Greenland from February 18 through 20.
Frederik, as the head of state of Greenland, has largely stayed out of the recent geopolitical tensions over the country.
The country is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, but as of 2008, Greenland has more self-government.
King Frederik does not hold formal political powers in the country.
