City Hall removed the climbing frame from the site off Peterson Road in Mile Cross because it was "at the end of its life and becoming unsafe to use". Ms Fairclough also added the playground at Shorncliffe Avenue could do with updating, as well as Sloughbottom playground, which the council is proposing to revamp. Earlier this year, City Hall revealed its £7.5m proposal to upgrade Sloughbottom Park by creating an all-weather pitch and new sports facilities.
