Thursday night’s game between the Red Wings and Capitals at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit had a bit of everything. A late comeback, a shootout, some NHL history and one of the wildest goals you’ll ever see. But if the puck hit the protrusion in the glass, the goal would stay. Officials ruled the puck hit the glass or, potentially, they could not determine whether it hit the camera, ultimately leaving the goal on the board. Following the third-period chaos, the Capitals came out on top in a shootout for a 4-3 win, giving Washington two points in the standings after a wild night.
