BAXTER — The GMG girls’ basketball team couldn’t overcome 28 turnovers in a 32-24 loss to Baxter in Tuesday’s Iowa Star Conference clash. Skyler Murty had four points and five rebounds, while Rhianna Murty got four points as well. Olivia Parrie paced Baxter (11-6, 8-2) with 10 points and six steals, while Emileigh Beals had nine points and six steals. Paige Pipho racked up 16 points and five steals to lead Union, and Reese Anderson added 11 points and five steals. Easton Sash scored a team-leading 13 points to pace GMG (9-7, 3-6), which sustained its third loss in a row.
