PuneUnion Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu on Thursday informed Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that the black box of the ill-fated aircraft carrying Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, which crashed on Wednesday, has been recovered and taken into official custody. In a letter responding to Fadnavis, the Union minister said the recovery of the black box marked a crucial step in determining the cause of the crash. Naidu further stated that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), which functions under the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, has formally launched an investigation into the crash. The Civil Aviation Minister also conveyed that the ministry is committed to ensuring full cooperation with the investigation and maintaining transparency throughout the process.
