A woman has been charged after a car police believed to be stolen allegedly slammed into a school bus in Melbourne’s southwest, with footage capturing the moment screaming children were forced to take cover from gunfire.
Police allege officers spotted a Kia Optima, which had allegedly been stolen from NSW, before it reversed into a school bus near Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary College in an attempt to flee.
A 43-year-old NSW woman was taken to hospital under police guard with minor injuries following the ordeal.
