Sha’Carri Richardson arrested for speeding in Florida

For the second time in six months, double Olympic sprint medallist Sha’Carri Richardson is in trouble with the law.
According to multiple reports, Richardson was arrested for dangerous excessive speeding (over 100 mph, or 160 kph) on Thursday on a freeway in Orlando, Fla.; she was also driving erratically, weaving in and out of traffic.

On July 27, 2025, Richardson was arrested at an airport in Washington state while travelling to USATF Nationals in Eugene, Ore., after an argument with her partner, fellow American sprinter Christian Coleman got physical.
