(ABC 6 News) — The 2026 Winter Dance Party at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake is giving guests a chance to tour the historic Fox House this week. The current owners opened their home to party attendees, which sits on the North Shore Drive and once belonged to Carl Fox, who built the original Surf Ballroom. “You have a chance to walk back in history to see what living was like on the beautiful lake with all the niceties that this family had and nothings been changed all their pots and pans are here all their crystal their china their furniture its a real walk back in time and you don’t get to see that often,” said Surf Ballroom volunteer Kathie Vix. This is the third year for the tours with the home open for two hours each day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the three-day event.
