Associate professor of global affairs Susan Ostermann will lead the Keough School of Global Affairs’ Liu Institute of Asia and Asian Studies as director beginning July 1, an appointment sparking controversy due to her public advocacy for abortion rights. Keough School of Global Affairs dean Mary Gallagher appointed Ostermann with approval from University provost John McGreevy.
