Some of those worries were sent to us, so we sought to learn how best to spot the fakes. “It’s getting amazingly good,” Regina McCombs, senior lecturer at the University of Minnesota’s Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communications, said about how advanced AI-generated content has become. But because of how advanced this fake content has become, some of the old indications aren’t there anymore, and people need to give it more thought. “I think the first question now you ask is not, ‘Are there five fingers,’ it’s, ‘Does this actually make sense?
