President John Mahama has announced that Ghana has reached its full allocation of 5,960 pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj. He called on all registered pilgrims to cooperate fully with the Hajj Board and relevant state institutions to ensure a smooth process. “This year, Ghana was allocated a quota of 5,960 pilgrims, and we reduced the cost to 60,000. At my last meeting with the Hajj Committee, I was informed that the entire quota has been taken up. In the meantime, mandatory medical examinations and health screenings for registered pilgrims are scheduled to commence on Monday, February 2.
