Following weeks of controversy over “unacceptable” living conditions at three Yampa Valley Housing Authority-developed properties in Steamboat Springs, property management companies Overland Property Group and Mission Rock Residential have delivered a detailed action plan to city and county officials and YVHA leadership. The action plan says Mission Rock has already launched a third‑party “Sublet Alert” tracking tool to flag potential subleasing, with ongoing evaluation and monthly reporting to YVHA and Overland. “At this time, management is not aware of any verified or systemic subleasing activity,” the plan states. Cleaning schedules will be “continuously reevaluated,” especially in hallways and common areas, based on conditions, weather, staffing and resident feedback. The companies say many of the changes are already underway and have committed to detailed monthly reporting during the stabilization period to document progress.
