DJI has unveiled the RS 5, a new lightweight commercial camera gimbal aimed at solo videographers and small production teams, bringing smarter tracking, stronger stabilisation and longer battery life to its Ronin lineup. One of the headline upgrades is the new RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module, which allows users to track subjects directly from the gimbal’s touchscreen. Stability has also been improved due to DJI’s fifth-generation RS stabilisation algorithm, which boosts peak motor torque by 50%. A new on-screen Z-Axis Indicator provides real-time guidance to help users adjust their movement for steadier results. In Australia, the DJI RS 5 is priced at A$839 for the standard kit or A$999 for the Combo, which includes the tracking module and Electronic Briefcase Handle.
