Illinois State University’s African American Studies Program (AAS) returns to the Normal Theater next month to host its second annual Black History Month Film Festival. These film series give us an opportunity to critically engage with history and connect what has happened in the past to current events today.”The Normal Theater will host three film screenings during the film festival. After each screening, a panel featuring Illinois State faculty will engage attendees in discussion of the film and its connection to the theme of resistance.
