Sundance 2026: Andrew Stanton's Sci-Fi Film 'In the Blink of an Eye'"In the blink of an eye everything can change. One of my most anticipated films at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival (original list here) is one of the only sci-fi films within the 2026 line-up. In the Blink of the Eye is acclaimed Pixar director (and sci-fi geek) Andrew Stanton's first live-action feature film since making John Carter (which I am a big fan of) back in 2012. The film is 1/3 sci-fi, 1/3 modern times love story, and 1/3 historical character study set thousands of years in the past. Andrew Stanton's regular composer Thomas Newman provides the score for In the Blink of the Eye and it's gorgeous, too.
