Democrats and White House have struck a deal to avert a partial government shutdown and temporarily fund the Department of Homeland Security as they negotiate new restrictions for President Donald Trump ’s surge of immigration enforcement.
Johnson said the investigation into the situation needs to play out, but he also blamed state and local officials for encouraging protests against the federal immigration enforcement actions.
“They have all the options to make a deal,” Hegseth said at a Cabinet meeting, referring to Iran.
Trump’s Cabinet meeting has been going on for an hour.
Potentially less funny for those gathered during Thursday’s meeting, Trump said not everyone would be allowed to speak to save time.
