An upcoming presentation in Augusta County will bring the sights and sounds of owls in Virginia to life for the audience. The program, called “Hoots, Trills and Whinnies-Owls of Virginia,” is offered through the Parks and Recreation Department on Friday, Feb. 6, starting at 6:30 p.m. Rich Wood, who will lead the discussion, describes it as “sights and sounds presentation” designed to explore the mysterious hunters of the night. “You’ll discover what makes an owl an owl and get to see and hear the owls that are commonly found here in Virginia, along with a few rare visitors,” he told AFP. The 90-minute program will be held at the Government Center in Verona.
