Dana Leann Payton, age 50, of Caneyville, passed away Sunday, (January 25, 2026) at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY. She was born on January 2, 1976 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of the late Emeral “Red” and Ethel McDorman Elmore. Dana was a housewife and a homemaker who enjoyed art, cooking and watching criminal and mystery shows on television, especially CSI and Heartland. She married Bobby Payton on August 3, 2002, and together they made a happy home. Dana attended Southside Church in Caneyville. Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Monday until time of services.
