FellajuahMonrovia, Liberia, January 30, 2026 – The Liberia Agriculture Commodity Regulatory Authority (LACRA) has begun a national validation workshop on the National Oil Palm Regulation Protocols, aimed at strengthening governance and regulatory oversight of Liberia’s oil palm sector. The strategic importance of oil palm extends beyond a commodity; it is a cornerstone of our national food security and a massive engine of rural economic growth. From the large-scale concessionaires to the hardworking smallholders in our interior, the oil palm value chain supports thousands of Liberian livelihoods,” Saryee said. Once validated and printed into a handbill, these rules will become the law of the land, providing the stability and transparency needed to attract even greater investment into our palm sector,” Saryee assured participants. Speaking at the event, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Magdalene E. Dagoseh, who described herself as a farmer, pledged her Ministry’s support to LACRA’s work and expressed excitement over the strong participation of oil palm farmers.
