Housing Minister Collin Croal yesterday announced that the Ministry of Housing will launch a new online portal within approximately two weeks for residents of Region Four who applied for house lots in 2021 and earlier. The disclosure was made during the launch of the Hyde Park Homestead housing project, where Croal disclosed that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to clear the backlog of housing applications, particularly in Region Four, which continues to record the highest number of pending applicants. We are moving the target in Region Four starting with 2021 applications and prior,” the minister said. According to the minister, the portal is intended to modernise the ministry’s records system and improve the speed and accuracy of processing applications. He explained that applicants will not be required to re register, as their information already exists within the system.
