CG United Women’s Super50 CupTrinidad and Tobago produced a ruthless all-round performance to crush Guyana by nine wickets in their second-round clash of the CG United Women’s Super50 Cup, skittling their opponents for a paltry 31 before completing the chase with ease at Park Hill Playing Field in Colonarie, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The result was shaped decisively by offspinner Anisa Mohamed, who tore through the Guyana batting line-up with a devastating spell of 8 for 11 from 8.5 overs, as Guyana were dismissed in just 16.5 overs.
After winning the toss and electing to bat on what the Guyana Cricket Board later described as “a challenging Park Hill surface,” Guyana’s decision quickly unravelled.
Wickets fell regularly as the Trinidadian spinners exploited the conditions, with five Guyanese batters dismissed without scoring.
Realeanna Grimmond top-scored with just eight, while extras, at seven, were the next highest contribution in a batting effort that struggled for any momentum or application.
