CARRINGTON (NewsDakota)- The old sports saying is that great defense always beats great offense. Carrington locked down the highest scoring duo in Class A basketball in rolling to their ninth consecutive win, a 59-42 decision over the Kindred Vikings inside the East Gymnasium on Thursday night. The game started very slowly with the Vikings (10-5) taking a 3-1 lead. Liza Trenbeath, who came in averaging 25 points per game, scored nine of her game-high 22 in the fourth, while sophomore Siera Nipstad, who came in averaging 25 per game, was held to twelve.
