Four people have been left with serious injuries after a dog attacked a family in their Melton West home on Thursday 29 January. A Victoria Police spokesperson said four people were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Star Weekly understands the dog was a family pet and was apprehended by a council ranger following the incident. A male in his 20s was treated for mid body injuries and taken to Western Hospital Footscray in a stable condition. A male in his late teens was treated for lower body injuries and taken to Sunshine Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
