The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a residential structure fire that caused significant damage. On January 29, 2026, at 0300 hours, a fire was reported at 108 Thorn Lane New Castle, Delaware. Fire company suppression efforts were initiated and conditions worsened, including partial structural collapse which caused fire fighters to evacuate the residence.
