He asserted that President Donald Trump had the right to launch a “preemptive defensive” attack on Iran. Rubio went on to argue that Trump could order an attack on the Islamic Republic even if Iran does not attack the US. He went on to add that the US needed a massive military presence in the Middle East to “preemptively prevent” an Iranian attack.
