Protesters gathered on the College Avenue campus on Thursday for a student-organized demonstration criticizing the Iranian government. Students gathered in solidarity with the people of Iran during a protest on Records Field on the College Avenue campus on Thursday. The group began planning the event following the Iranian government's response to civilian uprisings earlier this month. The protest began with a prayer and a speech from Siavash Talaeizadeh, a graduate student in the School of Arts and Sciences, the protest's University representative. "What keeps us alive is hope, hope for freedom," the speaker said after she concluded sharing the accounts.
