According to the fire chief, the HCFD has responded to almost 400 calls in 4 days. On a normal day we respond to about 3 or 4 calls, but in the past 4 days our firefighters have answered nearly 400 calls for service in Hardin county, Including 5 house fires. The highway department, TVEC, PEC , sheriff’s department, Hardin county E-911, TEMA, Hardin county EMA, TN Forestry, TWRA, and the national guard, Red Cross and other agencies have been working long hours during this unprecedented disaster. We still have a long way to go but with everyone working together we will get through this disaster!
