(WISH) — A 42-year-old Anderson man was sentenced to 50 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to child molestation and sexual misconduct with a minor, said a news release issued Thursday from Madison County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Andrew Hanna. As News 8 previously reported, investigators say Kevin Germain Jr. raped and bribed children with candy for several years. The child described Germain performing sexual acts with a child, police say. Germain in November had pleaded guilty to four top-level felony counts of child molesting, two mid-level felony counts of child molesting, two mid-level felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, and a low-level felony count of sexual misconduct with a minor.
