President William Ruto on Thursday, January 29, unveiled a new funding initiative aimed at empowering 90,000 Kenyan youths who did not complete their formal education. Youths who have already qualified for the Nyota Fund will not be eligible for this new scheme. Ruto also highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to secure jobs for Kenyan youth abroad through the National Employment Authority Integrated Management System. Addressing concerns about the legitimacy of the Nyota Fund, Ruto dismissed claims that it is a scam.
