COAL GROVE — The Coal Grove Lady Hornets got back to playing basketball on Thursday, and got back to winning once again. By stymying the visiting Rock Hill Redwomen to single digits in each of the opening three quarters, the Lady Hornets built a commanding 25-point advantage after three periods — and rolled Rock Hill 60-35 in an Ohio Valley Conference contest. The Lady Hornets raised their record to 13-4, and remain in third-place in the OVC at 7-3. Emma Lively landed three of the Lady Hornets’ five three-point goals towards 13 points, as Rebekah Dome dropped in four field goals for eight. Chloee Bryant and Adalyn Simpkins scored eight points apiece to lead Rock Hill, while Blayr Knipp notched seven and Samantha Bamer bucketed six.
