Anthropic is the subject of a lawsuit filed in California by Universal Music Group, Concord and ABKCO. The three music industry heavyweights allege that the AI company misused their copyrighted material. We also expect that these three businesses will sign deals with Anthropic that will allow the company to access its catalogue of music. The company took issue with the creator of Clawdbot, an AI assistant that has gone viral among users. Anthropic took issue with the fact that the developer of the bot, Peter Steinberger, had picked a name that sounded like its premier AI solution, Claude.
