The report says agritourism accounts for 14pc of total tourism spending in Australia - the vast majority in regional areas - but more telling, international visitors participating in agritourism activities spent an average $3894 per trip, compared with an average spending of $2044 across all tourism sectors, while domestic overnight visitors spent nearly double when introducing agritourism, at $863 per trip rather than $462.
