North Macedonia has full support for EU membership, while, in this period, it’s key to achieve internal unification around the integration process, EU Ambassador Rokas assessed during Wednesday’s promotion of the paper headlined “Analysis of Public Opinion on EU Accession (2014–2025)” and the report headlined “New Global Uncertainties, Old European Obligations”, held in Parliament. He also pointed out that the EU remained the most trusted partner among North Macedonia’s population. As a positive signal, Ambassador Rokas pointed to the increase in support for membership from 61% to 71% when compared to data from last year’s research, as well as to the fact that youth are most supportive, while ethnic and political differences fall. VMRO-DPMNE MP Miloshoski stated that the frustration of some Macedonian citizens was justified because on the EU path of the country, conditions of the game were often changed. On the other hand, SDSM leader Filipche stated one of the most concerning things was the anti-European rhetoric of the current government.
