Brussels, 29 January 2026At the 15th EU–Morocco Association Council, the EU and Morocco reaffirmed their long-standing strategic partnership, highlighting cooperation on regional stability, trade, security, migration, climate action and multilateral governance. With renewed conviction, we reaffirmed the importance of the long-standing, rich, multidimensional and privileged strategic partnership between the European Union and Morocco. The strength of our partnership is also illustrated by the scale and diversity of our cooperation across all the above-mentioned areas. The EU reiterated its readiness to contribute to facilitating consultations between the parties within the United Nations framework and to support the efforts of the Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy. We agreed to strengthen our cooperation within international and regional fora, notably in the Euro-Mediterranean space and with our African partners.
