Michael Bell, owner of The Lounge Wine Bar in Ingatestone, had said around 15 staff could have lost their jobs if further restrictions were added by Brentwood Borough Council. ‌The council had been reviewing the license of the bar, which has been operating since 2023, due to what it says are breaches of licensing regulations. The issues come amid poor relations between the bar and neighbours. ‌"The subcommittee therefore considered whether other lesser steps should be taken including additional or removal of license conditions or the modification of existing conditions on the premises license.
